SLCC Music 1010 was a very interesting and enjoyable course. Because of it, I got to learn a lot more about the principles of music, such as how the form, instrumentation, dynamics, and tempo all contribute to the meaning of a particular musical piece. I also got to do a fascinating final project on Composer John Williams. I had to write a biography on him and create a power point for a song he wrote were I had to analyze the components of the song. Both of these assignments helped me to learn more about John Williams and how clever he is in crafting a piece of music. I really enjoyed the knowledge I gained in this class about how music works.
